Follow our easy step-by-step assembly guide and video tutorial to achieve crisp, timeless embossed impressions on your envelopes, stationery, and books.
How to Assemble Your Embosser
Follow these 3 simple steps to insert and secure your custom design plate.
Unlock Side Lock and Lift the Handle
Unlock the side locking mechanism by sliding or pushing it to the left to release the handle tension. Lift the top handle of the embosser upward.
Take out the Design Plate
Remove the design plate from the embosser.
Insert Design Plate
Squeeze the design plates together and slide into the device with UP-SIDE text facing upward until you feel and hear a click.
How to Make an Impression on Paper
Insert a single sheet of paper between the plates where you want your seal placed. Squeeze the handle firmly if held in hand, or place the embosser on a desk and press down on the handle for maximum leverage. Thicker paper requires steady, firm pressure.

Got questions? Find answers to common questions below.
You can use your embosser on paper weights up to 180 GSM. This includes standard 80 GSM printer paper, 120–150 GSM envelopes, wedding invitations, and cardstock up to 180 GSM. We recommend embossing one sheet at a time for perfect impression.
Place your embosser on a solid, flat table or desk and apply firm downward pressure on the handle. Using a flat surface gives you the best mechanical leverage, especially on thicker or textured paper. Ensure the plate has clicked securely into position prior to embossing.
Yes! Our embosser tool comes with interchangeable clip mechanisms. You can order additional design plates anytime to easily switch between your monogram, return address, and bookplate designs. Our clips will fit perfectly with Trodat embossers same as the ones sold on this website.
Always store your embosser in the protective pouch sent with your order. Keep it in a dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing it in plastic bags, as they can trap moisture and potentially cause humidity damage or corrosion over time.
